It’s that time of year again!
Friday, December 6 p.m., at beautiful historic Untermyer Park,North Broadway, Yonkers. Admission is FREE and open to the public – rain or shine.
‘Toys-for-Tots’ will be collected to benefit the Leake & Watts Foster Care Program. An unwrapped new toy for youngsters 4 to 17 years is appreciated.
Young and old can warm their hearts with some hot chocolate, cookies, and a holiday favorite: A reading of the classic, ‘T’was the Night Before Christmas,’ by none other than Mrs. Claus.
Best loved songs of the season will be performed by the Lincoln High School Gospel Choir under the direction of choir director, Ms. Cecilia Myers.
The big man himself will make an appearance and all will help Santa in the countdown for the traditional lighting of the Untermyer Park Christmas Tree.
The ‘Holiday Happening in the Park’ is made possible with funds from Empire City at Yonkers Raceway, Arts Westchester with funds from Westchester County, and Westchester County Cultural Initiative, in cooperation with the City of Yonkers, Mayor Mike Spano, and the Yonkers Department of Parks,
Recreation and Conservation.
